Who we are

JobDog is a lead-and-pipeline platform for trade businesses across New Zealand, Australia, and Canada — operated by M3 Digital ("we", "us", "our"). We're based in Australia.

This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are. If anything here is unclear, email us at support@jobdog.com.au and we'll explain in plain English.

What we collect

We collect two kinds of information:

From our clients (the businesses using JobDog):

  • Account details — name, email, phone, business name.
  • Onboarding answers — your services, target area, USP, brand assets.
  • Payment details — handled by Stripe; we never see card numbers.
  • Notification preferences — where to send lead alerts.
  • Meta Ads account ID and connected Page ID.

From your customers (people who fill out your Meta lead form):

  • Their name, email, phone number, and any other fields the lead form collects.
  • Which campaign / ad they came from.

We don't buy data, scrape data, or track people across the internet. We only receive what Meta sends us when a customer voluntarily submits one of your lead forms.

How we use it

  • To deliver leads to you — via dashboard, email, and SMS.
  • To brief our designers on your ad creative.
  • To show you performance metrics (impressions, leads, ROI).
  • To send you account, billing, and support communications.
  • To run the platform (authentication, security, error logs).

We don't sell your data, your customers' data, or use it to market to anyone outside the service we provide to you.

Who we share it with

Trusted vendors that help us run the service:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (data hosted in their AU/AP region).
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Twilio — SMS delivery.
  • Stripe — payments and subscription management.
  • Meta — only the connection between your account and Meta Ads. We don't share your customer data back to Meta.
  • Anthropic — used briefly to generate ad-copy ideas from your onboarding answers. Anthropic does not use this content to train their models per their commercial terms.
  • Xero — only when you opt in to the Xero integration. We read customer names, phone numbers and emails from your Xero contacts so we can match them to your JobDog leads. Read-only — we never create, edit or delete anything in your Xero. We don't see your bank balance, expenses, payroll, BAS, invoice or quote details. Disconnect any time to stop.

We'll only share information with anyone else if you ask us to, or if we're legally required to (e.g. a valid court order).

How long we keep it

For as long as you're an active client, plus a reasonable tail after cancellation for accounting and legal records (typically 7 years for financial records under Australian law).

You can request deletion of your account and personal information at any time — see "Your rights" below.

Security

All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Database access is restricted by row-level security so each business can only see their own data. We never store payment card details — those live with Stripe.

No system is 100% secure. If a breach affecting your data ever happens, we'll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by Australian law (Notifiable Data Breaches scheme).

Your rights

Under Australian privacy law (Privacy Act 1988) and similar frameworks elsewhere, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
  • Ask us to delete your account and personal information.
  • Opt out of marketing communications (we don't do many).
  • Lodge a complaint with the OAIC (oaic.gov.au) if you're not satisfied with our response.

For any of these, email support@jobdog.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days (usually much sooner).

Cookies

We use only the cookies we need to keep you signed in and to measure how the dashboard performs. No third-party advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we'll email you and post the update here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of JobDog after a change means you accept the updated policy.
